Thailand Travels, Floral Dresses for Fall!

Hello All,

Happy end of September!  I hope you’ve been well! It’s been a minute since I’ve blogged. I feel like I’ve been going non-stop for the past month. I’m ready to slow down a bit! After I got back from my trip to Thailand, I packed for about two weeks, and moved into a small 1920s style apartment.  I thought I’d save on rent by moving into a 1920s style apartment, but what I didn’t realize was all that work I needed to do to try to make it feel like a home for me. I had to purchase my first window a/c units and install them, because I’m a wimp and can’t tolerate time without A/C. I also  needed to buy a TV stand, organize, and paint some rooms.  It’s been crazy. Luckily, my friends, boyfriend and family have been awesome. They’ve helped me so much. I hired someone to help me clean, but the place just doesn’t feel sparkly.  It’s a work in progress! Anyways, I’ll show you guys some pictures of my apartment when the place is ready!

Alright, now to less stressful topics: vacation. Last month I went to Thailand with my previous roomie and her friend, and it was amazing. It was the perfect blend of site-seeing (primarily temples), amazing food, relaxation, shopping in night bazaars, and nightlife! On our trip, we spent 2 days in Bangkok, 2 days in Chiang Mai, and 2 days in Phuket.  Here’s the main highlights of things we did!

Bangkok

  • Temples: Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha), Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha and Grand Palace)
  •  Nightlife: Above Eleven. I love rooftop bars, so it was nice to see a view of the city!
  •   Food: May Kaidee has some amazing vegetarian food
  •   Relaxation: Thai massage at a random place! Hot oil Thai massages in a private room in Thailand are amazing!

 Chiang Mai

  • Patara Elephant Camp: We got to feed, bath, pet and ride the elephants for a short amount of time
  • Nightlife: Zoe’s on Yellow: There were people dancing on the streets! It was amazing
  • Food: Dash Teak House Chiang, Mai

    Phuket

  •  Phi Phi Island Tour:  Maya Krabi in Thailand was amazing!
  • Patong Beach: A relaxing local beach in Thailand
  •  Nightlife: Bangla Walking Street. It feels like a Vegas street with people offering drink package deals to come to their bars
  •  More pedicures and massages!

Random side note: Fruits are amazing in Thailand. Try the Dragon Fruit, Daikon, and Rambutan!

Below are some pictures. They are carousel style, so keep clicking right, and you will see pictures.

Also, even though I just recapped Thailand, I'm about to travel to Italy in less than 2 weeks! I'm so excited! One dress that I'm going to take with me that is beautiful for weddings, fall, and a fancy Italian dinner is linked below! This dress is from my wonderful friend, Aygul Camila's dress shop called Love My Lucky Dress! Don't you just love the black and floral? I mean, from previous blog posts you can tell, I'm a bit obsessed with florals!

You should follow her on instagram @Lovemyluckydress! She is a Chicago native and in the carousel, I have some more of her beautiful pieces that I shot with. (Of course, 3 out of 3 in carousel are floral prints)

Anyways, that's it for now! I know I haven't done poetry writing in a while, but I'm going to get back at that next month! My personal life with moving and other things has been crazy!
