The Outside and The Inside

Outside

Waves keep pouring
Over a very large barrier,
Flooding cement roads.

Rain keeps on pouring,
Smacking windshields rapidly.
Gloom;  the lightning strikes.

Thud. Cars Crash.

Inside

The little girl, sweet,
Cuddles in her fleece blanket;
Sheltered from the rain

Scared of sounds. Thud. Smack.
But held by a beating heart
Mother holding her

Love at its' sweetest, purest form.
See with every awful moment, there is a beautiful one.

Resting below the surface. Sometimes, look below the surface, the outside, and see what's happening inside. Through the tough times, deep love keeps us moving on.
